Historia
Las historias que contamos no salen de la nada: nacen de nuestra cultura y la reflejan. Por eso importa el contexto histórico de los mitos y los cuentos.
Although our museum focuses on mythology and folklore, we recognize that those aspects of culture do not exist in a vacuum. They were created and developed in a specific place and time for a reason -- they represent the people and societies that made them and have, in turn, an effect on them.
Alongside the stories and art at the core of Norwegian cultural heritage, we bring you the relevant facts, historical figures, and symbolism that stand behind them. The goal is to share the knowledge not just of the stories, but also the weight of the meaning they carry.
