Troles
Descendientes de los míticos gigantes de hielo y reflejo de una naturaleza salvaje e indomable, los troles son esenciales en los cuentos noruegos. Los hay de muchas formas y tamaños, y algunos te sorprenderán.
Trolls are the magical creatures that serve as the villains of Norwegian folk tales. Typically large and strong, but not very cunning, they are a part of nature and represent its wildest and rawest powers.
They blend in with their environments and can therefore be of several different types: mountain trolls, forest trolls, sea trolls, and more. In fact, in the broad sense, a troll can be any magical creature from folklore -- huldra, nøkken, fossegrimen. All of these, you can learn about at our museum.
Over time, trolls have undergone a transformation from villain to symbol to a friendly national mascot. But whatever form they take, they remain fascinating and well-loved creatures, and we are dedicated to keeping the stories about them alive.
